Volunteers still needed for First Night® Akron

Akron, Ohio --First Night® Akron still needs volunteers to lend a helping hand on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2007. First Night volunteers greet guests, check for admission buttons, introduce performing artists, assist with hands-on activities, act as bus hosts, and much more.

Volunteers are admitted free to all performances and sites before or after their scheduled shift. Friends, families and couples are encouraged to volunteer together. Volunteers receive a special volunteer ribbon to wear at the event, as well as an invitation to the annual Volunteer Party held in January.

Volunteers are essential to First Night’s success. They are the first to greet guests, wish them a Happy New Year, and help direct them to their next destination.  For more information call 330-762-8555 or email firstnight@downtownakron.com. Volunteers are being placed, so please contact us today!
