First Night Activities at the Artwalks in Downtown Akron

Join First Night Akron at the Artwalks in Downtown Akron on the first Saturday of every month, September-December, as we celebrate our 15th Year with the community! First Night 15 Year admission buttons will be sold and entertainment and interactive activities will be featured at each of the Artwalks.

The Artwalk includes galleries located in the Northside District, North High Street, East & West Market Street and Main Street. Visit www.downtownakron.com/artwalk for more information.

Saturday, September 4, 5-10 p.m.

  • 15 Year Button Art Presentation: 6:15 p.m. at Northside and 8:15 p.m. at High Street
  • First Night 15 Year Craft
  • Tom Guarino performs in the Car Gear parking lot, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Zach performs on High Street, 7-9 p.m.

Saturday, October 2, 5-10 p.m

  • First Night 15 Scavenger Hunt
  • Launch of the 15 Year Photo Contest
  • First Night 15 Year Craft
  • Peace Project Concert at Musica

Saturday, November 6, 5-10 p.m.

  • A Minor Bird performs on High Street, 7-9 p.m.
  • First Night Button Artist Reception at Summit Artspace (Must have a 15 Year Button to attend.)
  • First Night 2011 Button Artist Maria Alejandra Zanetta’s original button art on display at Summit Artspace
  • First Night 15 Year Craft
  • First Night Button Scavenger Hunt

Saturday, December 4, 5-10 p.m.

  • The Street Beat Drummers perform, 7-9 p.m.
  • 15 Year Photo Contest voting at Summit Artspace
